NATIONAL ASSESSMENT OF EDUCATIONAL PROGRESS
Minue School has been selected to represent schools across the United States by taking the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP). The NAEP is given by the National Center of Education Statistics (NCES) out of Washington, DC. The NAEP test will be given to fourth grade students on January 31, 2019. Your child may be selected to take an assessment on a tablet brought to our school by NAEP. There is no grade for NAEP, and the individual student results are not given to our school, district, or the state. The results are anonymous. If your child is selected to take the test, his or her grades will not be affected.
The National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP), is called the “The Nation’s Report Card” because it provides information on how students are performing across the country. We are quite pleased that our school has been selected to contribute information to “The Nation’s Report Card.”
